Description

Join New Hampshire’s fastest-growing drone inspection company as a Remote (Drone) Pilot and work with the latest remote sensing equipment on challenging and high profile inspection projects.
Due to a strong pipeline of work for the next 6-12 months, Skydata is seeking 3 x remote (drone) pilots based in Manchester, the Portsmouth area and the Plymouth area.
Tentative Start date: April 2023.
For this role, we’re seeking more than just qualified drone pilots. The successful candidates will have a deep interest in remote sensing technology, show attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, and consider safety as the number one priority.
Candidates must be comfortable operating in a team environment, and equally, be able to work independently on projects in regional areas.

All positions start as a 6 month, independent contractor with opportunities to extend and become a full time employee.
This role will involve operating the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise RTK as well as DJI M30T airframes and very soon Elios 3 indoor drone on inspection projects in metro and regional areas. The role would suit drone pilots that have previously operated Mavic 2/3 drones on commercial drone projects.

Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Plan missions and safely operate company DJI Enterprise drone equipment to acquire high-quality inspection data
  • Complete inspection forms on-site, ready for upload
  • Manage large datasets acquired on-site, ready for post-processing through our data processing centre in Manchester
Essential:
  • Current Part 107 certificate / License
  • Experience operating DJI Mavic (or similar) multi-rotor drones
  • Sound understanding of the FAA drone regulations
  • Ability to perform job safety analysis and risk identification
  • Willingness to travel to regional areas
  • Valid relevant insurance(s)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
  • Experience in commercial drone operations or working in regional areas.

  • experienced with data uploading and transfer methodologies.
  • Restricted radio operators license (RCC)
  • Background in mining, asset inspection, engineering or surveying
  • Senior first-aid
  • Experience in using drone mapping and photogrammetry software to plan missions
  • 4WD experience


Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a proficiency check as part of the interview process.
